Catapult Learning ("Catapult", "we", "us", "our") owns and operates the evaluate® benchmark assessment system ("website") and understands that the security and responsible use of customer data is of utmost importance. This Catapult Privacy Policy explains what personally identifiable information we collect from or about students and staff through the use of the evaluate® system that our customers have licensed from us and how we, as a company, may analyze, record, use, disclose, and process that information, as authorized by to the extent authorized by our customers.

As a customer of our educational services, you have agreed to share certain personally identifiable student and staff information required to engage with our assessment and reporting services in the website. The information we collect directly from you includes, but is not limited to, student/staff names, grades, schools, districts, states, student demographics (ethnicity, gender, ELL status, etc.), classes, courses, and similar types of information.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may collect certain information automatically, including browser information such as IP addresses, platforms, operating systems, device types, names/versions of Internet browser, times/dates of website logins and pages visited, tracking information collected by cookies. While this information is not personally identifiable, it can be linked to information that identifies a student or staff, and we reserve the right to do so. We may also collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the website.
Information Use and Sharing
How Information is Used
The information is used in connection with the services we provide to you as our customer. This includes creating website accounts for students and staff, automatically assigning and delivering assessments via the website based on grade level, class, school, district, and for providing rich and informative suite of drill-down reports, aggregated by student, teacher, class, grade, school, demographics, etc. Any tracking information collected automatically by the website is used to improve the services we provide and to inform our service desk staff while diagnosing or fixing technology problems for our customers.
Sharing of Student Information
Catapult will only share student information as needed to perform the contracted services and/or at the direction of the district/school customer. For example, information including student data and assessment results will be shared between and among authorized school users such as teachers and school administrators. Access to and the scope of this data will be driven by the role of the user within the evaluate® website as defined and configured by the customer. Catapult will does not facilitate the sharing of any student data with any third parties except on behalf of a school or district customer after the school or district customer has formally authorized a third party or application to access the student data.
Data Security
Catapult maintains strict standards to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. We use industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to safeguard the account sign-in and transfer of data from outside of the evaluate® server network. Other security safeguards include but are not limited to data encryption, firewalls, and physical access controls. evaluate® servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and physically located in the United States.
Changes to this Policy/Last Update
If this Privacy Policy changes, a revised Privacy Policy will be posted on the evaluate® website. If any major changes are being proposed, we will provide notice to our customers both directly via email and through website system notifications.
